Analysis:
In the regular season, the Pistons exemplified a top-notch defensive squad holding their opponents to an average of 91.8 points per game, good for second best in the league. The Pistons claimed the first seed going in to the postseason, but were beaten by the Cavs in the Conference Finals 4-2. Chauncey Billups will likely decline his player option this summer, but his playoff performance did not reflect his usual clutch and consistent play.
